The First International Conference of Al-Qasemi Arabic Language Academy: "In the Footsteps of Sufism: History, Trends and Praxis" will be held at Al-Qasemi Academy on May 24-25, 2011. The conference will revolve around the Sufi history, perceptions and praxis.
The conference provides a stage for those who like to dispatch presentations and exchange knowledge in different issues which relate to the Sufi Movement in Islam since its appearance at the end of the 8th century C.E. until now. The conference will hopefully shed light more on different aspects, systems of thought and the position of the Sufi movement in the Islamic and Arab culture.
